not so happy halloween
trey had some friends over for a little halloween shindig. i made these adorable cupcakes (thanks to brittany for the idea) they played nerf games and video games and earned tickets for prizes and candy. the party was going great until i had this great idea to have kit read a ghost story. i thought that a group of boys would think that was fun. i turned off all the lights and kit gave a great performance of "where's my toe?" but then one of the younger boys started to cry! he was so upset and i could not calm him down. of course his dad came to pick him up right at that moment of horror. the kid was so scared to walk across the street to his house, his dad had to carry him. i felt terrible! way to set our reputation in the neighborhood.

OH NO!!! At least you served cute cupcakes.
ReplyDeleteLeave it to Kit! That kid is spooked for life. Ha ha
ReplyDeleteWhen are you going to start having massive halloween carnivals on your tennis courts? Those were unreal.
ReplyDeleteYes, the cupcakes are so cute. I can't wait to steal/borrow the idea :)
But I can't stop cracking up about the kid. I swear. That is always the case - something goes askew just as the parent is coming... And I'm caught and make it worse with all my back pedalling...
And I must know what's "Where's my toe?"
