bad hair day

on saturday i took the day off and left all the kids with kit for the first time. i had so much fun hanging out with my sister, shopping, eating, pedicures, i thought it was my birthday! then kit called me freaking out, saying that kate had cut her hair off! the description i got was that she looked horrible, she cut it all off, down to the scalp in some places, and that we might have to go to the pixie cut. okay, so i know it doesn't look good, but i was just so happy that it wasn't that bad either. we can just clip it back and put it in buns for another five years while we wait for it to grow back. more than anything i was happy that it didn't happen on my watch, and that kit got a dose of what it's like to be a mother.
