the out of towners

we're back! kit was headed up to northern cal for work and so at the last minute the kids and i loaded up and went with him and while kit worked we played. we had an action packed trip:
-went to san fran saw fisherman's warf and the pier 39 seals
-trey was sick, had a miserable day sight seeing.
-we almost go killed when the gps said turn left on a one way street and we were going the wrong way, driving a minivan in the streets of san fran isn't good for the nerves.
-took mia to see wicked and had a back stage tour of the props, thanks to alex our tour guide
-went to sacramento, loved it
-went to the state capital building, super cool
-went to an abraham lincoln exhibit. awesome
-kids swam in the hotel pool, got in trouble for using the handicapped pool lift chair
-kids turned into zombies watching disney channel, would have been happy in the hotel room the entire time
-climbed trees, wish i knew how old they were
-back to san fran for a day of sight seeing, begged kids to look out the window
-headed back down the coast, took the scenic route
-stopped in los gatos and had cupcakes and cookies for breakfast, the best i've ever had
-stopped at carmel by-the-sea, such a cute town
-stopped at target to get more videos for the kids, forget trying to get them to look out the window and enjoy the scenery
-stopped at avila farms for fresh produce, came home with triple berry pie and ate it for breakfast
-stopped in santa barbara for our romantic 12 year anniversary dinner, kit, jack, and i ate outside at our favorite restaurant carlitos while the other kids watched movies and ate in-n-out in the car. don't worry we could see the van from our table.
-had the best anniversary ever.
-now i need a vacation from the vacation.
