something's fishy around here
kate keeps bringing home poseidon's underworld and it is stinking up the house! i've thrown this collection of rocks, shells and bones away three times, but she keeps digging it out of the trash. i thought taking a picture of it and preserving the memory would suffice. but no, it's back on the counter again. i'm going to try a heavy dose of lysol and then i'll sneak it out to the outside trash can tonight. i guess this is paybacks for the time when i was about kate's age and my sister and i filled up two grocery sacs full of live sand dollars and left them in my aunt's house to rot. she didn't know until a few days later.

That's not as bad as when Julie and her friend decided to take a dead jellyfish home from the beach when she was in high school. Talk about stinky!!! The carpet in my car stunk for months!
ReplyDeleteAvery is going to be jealous of that collection! She brought home some deadish sand dollars last week. I told her they had to stay outside. So she found one of my nice baskets and gave them a home. Pass the lysol.
ReplyDeleteI sort of have my own collection of beach junk... if you boil it for a few min. it won't stink anymore. It will be clean and pretty:)
